The authors present a relatively rare case of a 30-year old woman patient who was exami-nated for a left side renal colic. On the basis of the medical examination, a tumor of the left kidney, size of 3 cm had been diagnosed and the patient underwent a left side nephrectomy with regard to significant scary perinehritic changes as well as adrenalectomy. A yellow tumor on the section was perceptible. The pathologist described it as a very rare type of kidney inflammation - focal xantogranulomathic pyelonephritis. The authors point out at a possible occurance of this rare kidney inflammation, which should be considered while finding a tumours kidney expansion mainly by modele age women.
