The aim of the study was detailed description of the diagnostic method and analysis of Doppler waveforms of arteries supplying scrotal content in physiological conditions. Sixty seven men and adolescents without signs of scrotal content disorder were investigated in 1997-2003. The population was divided into 3 age groups: under 20 years, between 20 and 50 years and over 50 years. There were no differences between the age groups in mean values of PSV (peak systolic velocity), EDV (end diastolic velocity) and RI (resistive index). The findings emerge a need for systematic classification of measured values according to the location of their collection and confirm practical implication of contralateral values comparison. Detailed description of the diagnostic method, the way of scanning, Doppler ultrasound curves and extrapolated values interpretation are preconditions for comparison with pathological findings and for studies confrontation.
