Hand‑assisted laparoscopic adrenalectomy for large adrenal tumours

Plachý J, Všetička J, Frydrych J, Srna P. Hand‑assisted laparoscopic adrenalectomy for large adrenal tumors. The aim of this article is to introduce hand‑assisted laparoscopic adrenalectomy as one of the surgical techniques for removing large adrenal tumors which basically combines the advantages of total laparoscopy and open surgery. It is a safe, effective and minimally invasive procedure reducing the number of open conversions. Besides the principles before any surgery, we would like to mention especially the method of operation.
