Kočárek J, Hoření E, Chmelík F, Matějková M, Čermák M, Heráček J. The robotic intracorporal Hautmann orthotopic neobladder. Introduction: The daVinci robotic system with modern EndoWrist tools enables a miniinvasive approach to intracorporeal reconstruction of orthotopic neobladder after cystectomy. Description of the clinical case: We performed 42 robotic radical cystectomies since January 2010 to June 2018. We had used the robotic system daVinci standard until December 2013, then we used daVinci Si. During procedures patients were positioned in 30 degrees Trendelenburg position. After the ablation phase of cystectomy orthotopic neobladder was created...

Schraml J, Hlavička M, Broul M, Cihlář F. Minimally invasive closure of a vesicovaginal fistula using robotic single‑site surgery. We report our experience with the closure of a vesicovaginal fistula using a highly minimally invasive technique - using a single‑port approach with the da Vinci Xi robotic system: a video. Introduction: Vesicovaginal fistulas (VVPs) are among much‑feared gynaecological complications. A VVP in itself is not life‑threatening for the patient, but the resulting urinary incontinence significantly impairs her quality of life. The extent and nature of urine leakage depend on the size of the VVP. A VVP...

Sedláček J. Surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in children. Major statement: Overview of contemporary options of surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in children and adolescents. Surgery for urinary incontinence are provided in children and adolescents with congenital and acquired disorders of lower urinary tract if pharmacological treatment and intermittent catheterization are ineffective. Furthermore, in children where only surgical treatment is possible. The aim of the treatment is a low pressure reservoir with good capacity and kidney protection. Methods respect the type of disorder, prospective development and risks. For bladder...
Current trends in penile urethral stricture reconstruction

Penile urethral strictures are the most challenging for the reconstructive urologist. Penile urethral reconstruction of one centimeter is usually equally demanding as bulbar urethral reconstruction of four centimeters. The aim of this work is to analyze the studies over the last three years, concerning penile urethral stricture surgery, which are connected with instrumentation, infections of the lower urinary tract or traumatic injuries. Strictures of unknown etiology were also included. Comparison of urethroplasty success with fasciocutaneous flap or buccal mucosal graft is the most important part of this work.

Novák K, Kočvara R, Hanuš T, Macek P, Paul O, Michalský O. Treatment of rectoanastomotic fistulae after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Aim: Rectoanastomotic fistula after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) is an infrequent but serious complication. A bowel diversion above the fistula (sigmoidostomy) is needed just like urinary diversion (permanent urethral catheter and epicystostomy 15CH). This is the only chance for spontaneous closure of the fistula but surgical occlusion is more frequent. Material a methods: From 2008 to 2018 we diagnosed rectoanastomotic fistula in 5 patients from 688 after LRP (0,72 %). Fistula appeared from the 6th...

Aim: To find the frequency of occurrence of cystic tumours of the kidney, to compare the results of imaging studies with the final histology findings, to retrospectively evaluate possibilities of diagnostics and surgery. Material a methods: All patients who underwent surgery for the kidney tumour/cystic lesion of the kidney in the time period I/2009-XII/2017 were searched and reevaluated. The patients with cystic renal lesions were included in this study. These patients were reevaluated and classified according to Bosniak (primarily based on CT; ambiguous than an MRI was perfomed. The histological results surgicak options were compared. Results: In...

Nechanská B, Zaplatílek J, Pabišta R, Zadražilová O. Miliary BCG-pneumonitis: a rare complication of intravesical BCG therapy. Adjuvant intravesical immunotherapy with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine is an effective treatment for patients with high risk non-muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma. The therapy is usually well tolerated and accompanied only by local or mild systemic symptoms (dysuria, mild increase of body temperature). Life-threatening systemic complications (nephritis, pneumonitis, BCG - sepsis) occur rarely. Their diagnostics can be challenging due to non-specific symptoms and frequent negative findings in the urine, sputum or blood...
